REGIONAL NEWS
The first section on Big Moor,
between Baslow and Owler Bar,
is now open with a brand new
bridleway gate, way-marking
posts and crushed stone has
been laid where the going was
wet or rutted. There is some
more work (including mounting
blocks) to be done in the late
summer/autumn and before the
end of this year we should see a
connecting section of bridleway
across Ramsley Moor opened
up. Next Spring (2014) should
see a new bridleway opened
along the top of Curbar and
Froggatt Edges.
Even more good news about
bridleways, this time in
Nottinghamshire and your input
is needed. ‘Groundwork Greater
Nottingham’ is currently working
in partnership with Broxtowe
Borough Council to produce a
Green Infrastructure Strategy for
the borough of Broxtowe. The
strategy will involve an analysis
of all green spaces, wildlife
habitats, public footpaths,
bridleways and other accessible
open spaces across Broxtowe
with the aim of suggesting
areas for improvement to create
additional networks of green
corridors which are accessible
to both people and wildlife.
The project aims to produce a
ten-year action plan identifying
areas for improvements
to create multi-functional,
accessible green networks and
corridors across the borough to
benefit people and wildlife.
The aim is to consult w ?F???V?&W"?bW6W"w&?W2F??W7F&?6?F?R7W'&V?B&?f?6?????b66W72?BF?6VRv?W&P?F?W&R&R?FV?F??v2???66W72F?'&?F?Wv??WGv?&?0?7&?72F?R&?&?Vv?f?"??'6P?&?FW'2( 7v??6??2v?W&R??R6??P????&R??Rv&R?b??&V0?v?W&RFF?F????'&?F?Wv?2&P??VVFVBv?F???F?RV7B?F??G0??"v?W&RF?W&R??&R?FV?F???v2??F?R66W72?WGv?&??F??0??2'F?7V?&?v?F???'&??F?vR??'W6?6?ffR?BvVF??s?F?P?FVF??Rf?"gV?F??r?2F?P??FF?R?b6WFV?&W"6??V6P??WBW2???r6??F7B7??f??V???( 26VRF?'?FFW2??F?R?V?6W7FW'6??&R?B'WF??@???F?6??WF?F???v??6?6??6V@???37B?V?v2?VFvVB'??&?fW76??????F?w&?W"???fW&????f?&?W&??bF?R???w0?G&??$???6??w&GV?F???0?F?F?Rv???W'3?&V6??g&?6'?f? ?F?R( ???'6R?B&?FW"?f??rF?P???7BgV?( ?6FVv?'???BvV?G??6'FW"f?"F?R( ?&W7B7F???6??N( ????W"&??W2&R??F?V?"v???f?"??&RFWF??2?b??WfV?G2???V6R??????F?RV7B?F??G0?6V7F????bF?RvV'6?FRwwr?&?2???&r?V??V7F?F??G2?F?&P???6?VFVB???W"6??F7B?7Bf? ?&VwV?"V?Ww2WFFW26??F7@?6???G&Ww2S?2??G&Ww4
