League Jumping

On the evening of the 28th of
June Laughton Livery Centre
ran an evening of Novice &
Beginner Summer league
jumping, along with their usual
clear round jumping.
This is a great opportunity for
children and adults alike to
sample a taste of competition
jumping.
Quite a few young girls relished
this chance, in the clear round
jumping Becky Morris, riding
Smokey, not only jumped a
clear round but it was her very
first outing. She has only been
jumping a matter of weeks.
Hannah Sharp, riding Sox and
Amy Harrison, riding Steggie were
also successful jumping clear
rounds for the first time.
The ‘first time’ theme continued,
in class 1 – 40cms jumping ,
Sophie Harrison jumped Sox for
the first time in competition, and
was placed second to Gary Green,
riding Walter who was placed
first. Also in this class Jess Morris
rode Steggie for the first time in
competition.
In class 2 - 50cms jumping,
Aimee Hedaux was placed first
Becky Morris riding Smokey

riding Poppy & second riding
Meg, (ponies), Sophie Roberts
riding Dacia was first & Jemma
Lee riding Diamond Geezer, was
second (horses). Third place went
to Chloe Williams riding Woody
and fourth place went to Zoe
Foote riding Sox. This was Zoe’s
first experience of competition
riding.

Aimee Hedaux riding Poppy

In class 3 – 60cms Jumping,
Aimee Hedaux was first riding
Bonnie (ponies) and Sophie
Roberts was first riding Dacia
(horses). Second place in this class
was Chloe Williams riding Woody,
whilst Esther Reed riding Steggie
came third. This was another ‘first’
for the evening as it was the first
time Esther had jumped 60cms
on Steggie and only the third
time she had ridden Steggie.

Class 4 – 70cms Jumping saw
Aimee Hedaux riding Bonnie
placed first in Ponies and Sophie
Roberts riding Dacia placed first
in Ponies with Chloe Williams
second riding Woody, Aimee
Hedaux riding Poppy third.
A big ‘Thank you’ goes to all the
hard working staff at Laughton
Livery Centre.
