Ever since the incident of September 11, 2001 Muslims have been viewed differently all over the country. “Islamophobia in the US is becoming entrenched, according to some Muslim leaders. ‘We’re living in one of the most hostile civic environments for the Muslim community,’ says Faiza Ali.” Just because someone is a Muslim and is a citizen of the U.S.A. it does not make them any less than an American than you are. “‘The environment is really difficult. It’s as if we are walking in a city that is our home but feeling like we are strangers,’ she says in her office.” America is the country of freedom. You are allowed to follow whatever religion you want to. You are allowed to say whatever you want. You are allowed to wear whatever you want. Then why should one question the muslims? If America is allowing us to live as an American Muslim, then who are you to say something. If one Muslim does something wrong that does not mean we have to blame the whole religion. Islam is perfect, Muslims are not.
