Equality &
Fairness Group
We have an Equality and Fairness Group that meets
regularly throughout the year. The Group contains
representatives for each of the distinct business areas
and as part of their role members bring instances of
best practice to the meetings so that they can be shared
across the organisation.
Other key Terms of Reference of the Group are to:
• Help to develop and monitor progress in delivering Accord’s Equality &
Fairness Strategy and associated Action Plan.
• Report to Board and the Executive Team
• Review performance against KPI’s to establish areas that may require
more detailed mapping/analysis relating to equality, diversity and
inclusion.
• Review customer feedback/survey analysis to ensure that any equality,
diversity and inclusion factors are addressed
• Help to ensure compliance with all statutory/regulatory or contractual
requirements.
• Challenge existing practice.
• Organise events to promote diversity
• Make recommendations on any specific training required by staff,
boards and contractors relating to equality, diversity and inclusion; and
deliver these where appropriate
• To take the lead and act as Equality & Fairness Champions, updating
staff on decisions made by the Group and being a point of contact.
• To liaise with other Groups where any recommendations made relate to
current supporting systems or requirements.
The Group also helps to produce this Annual Equality
and Fairness Report and has committed to reviewing the
Equality & Fairness Strategy by the end of 2020.
