The design is highly energy efficient and offers an
affordable housing solution with low running costs. It is
flexible and adaptable and can be configured to provide
blocks of between four and eight single storey units. This
housing solution has seen the creative development
of a redundant site, providing good quality affordable
housing for local people. Specifically targeted at younger
individuals and potential homeless people who could
enjoy their first independent home.
Post-Covid Design
In March 2020 with the onset of the covid-19 pandemic
and the likelihood that changes to working practices will
potentially be implemented in the long-term our design
team looked at how we build-in flexibility for our new
developments to facilitate the creation of home working
areas within the all properties.
