In 2018, Accord started to look at developing a low cost housing
solution for under 35’s that would meet the constraints of the
Local Housing Allowance (LHA) limit. Our key design philosophy
was to create a Low Carbon and sustainable build solution, based
upon our local Homes ECO 200 housing system.
A site was identified at Mill Street in Bilston, Wolverhampton and
construction began in March 2019 with completion in May 2020. This saw a
fully collaborative in house approach from design through to construction,
as well as enabling us to trial our innovative H-pod. The H-pod forms the
centre section of the apartment
