The funding for this ended on the 31st March 2020 . The object of the pilot was to both test the demand for home ownership but also clearly to facilitate social housing tenants to buy their home or an alternative one through a process known as “porting” As the funding for sales was both capped financially as well as being time limited, the Government employed a ballottype mechanism to select potential applicants as well as setting our eligibility criteria for applicants. This showed: Of the 328 valid Unique Reference Numbers (URNs) issued to Accord customers through the government’s ballot, 210 (64%) were from BAME applicants. 64
