What is religion? Each person’s definition of religion is different. Each person’s faith is different. Over the centuries people have asked themselves this question regardless of the answer given, there is no right or wrong answer. Religion can be defined as a set of beliefs that are shared with a group of people trying to of find the purpose of life. This article will examine religious diversity, as well as promoting unity and equality within religious intuitions. Lastly, it will look at the changes the church has gone through and the way this institution has developed new forms of inclusion.
Religious diversity is defined as members of society coexisting while sharing different belief systems (Jenn Linsay, 2015). It is a social trait that is organized by a structure of norms, values, ideologies and moral obligations. Power can determine the vision of religious diversity by exploiting one’s own view of religion and discarding the possibility of others perspective among the community. For instance, in Pakistan Muslims fight over religious differences; the result has been an armed conflict between the two groups (Rieck A.T , 2016). The need of power consumes each members ego, which creates an extremist point of view that discontinuous religious diversity.
