Prayer CLOTH
by Minister Tracey jackson
I love prayer! It’s where we meet Jesus in a very personal way, it’s just the two of us. It's where the hustle and bustle, the noise of daily living dissipates...it melts away. Suddenly, noise (anxiety, fear and worry) is replaced by the quietness and calmness only found in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Prayer is where I run to....prayer is my place of safety, my place of peace and refuge! Prayer is where spiritual power is unleashed. I'm so excited and looking forward to this journey as we share prayer with each other in this format.
While Jesus was on earth, prayer was important in His life. He often withdrew to pray in private after performing many miracles and doing the work of His Father who sent Him. And He even prayed before His final act of love for us, His Crucifixion. In prayer He was affirmed refreshed and strengthened. I don't know about you, but if Jesus prayed, how much more should we pray . Jesus himself said men always ought to pray. Even today Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father forever interceding on our behalf. Hallelujah! I’m just saying.
Daniel, Moses, Elijah, Paul, David, Peter, King Jehoshaphat, Nehemiah, Ruth they knew something about prayer and praying in faith. Through their prayers, nations were delivered, giants were defeated, enemies were pushed back, battles were won, and plots came to nothing!
What is prayer exactly? I'm so glad you asked! Prayer is communicating, communing, and connecting with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Prayer is listening talking and waiting (and repeat). What makes prayer so exciting is every answer, solution, and direction is revealed in prayer. Yolks are destroyed and burdens are lightened in prayer. Prayer ushers us into His presence. God is directing our paths and Jesus is constantly leading us in the way of triumph. Prayer is where we learn and get familiar with His voice. Jesus tell us ask, and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, and knock and it will be opened to you.
