PM Sessions, continued 12:15 to 3:15 PM Session I — K-12 Using Elements of the Multiple Menu Model to Reinvigorate and Inspire Brian Zawodniak Location: JFK Library This session is for all teachers interested in really getting back in touch with their content specialty. Teachers will learn how to use the Multiple Menu Model (MMM) in challenging themselves and their students. This will be a hands-on session where teachers create a lesson using this model. Session K — 5-12 How Schoology Can Help You Establish a 21st Century Learning Environment David Mourad Loca% %on: Fermi D220 During this live interactive session, teachers will be introduced to Schoology and the benefits of using it with their students. Key features of Schoology will be demonstrated. A discussion of hybrid and flipped classroom environments, as well as how Schoology can support those initiatives, will be part of the session. Session J — 6-12 Presenting Non-linear Ideas with Prezi Greg Chandler Location: Fermi B106 Unlike PowerPoint, Prezi allows you to present ideas and concepts in a non-linear way. Teachers will be introduced to the techniques for creating and using PREZIs. Teachers will be helped in the creation of their own presentations that will increase student attention and interest in the material being covered. Teachers attending should bring their laptop. Session L — K-12 Advancing Your Use of iPads in the Classroom Mary Almeida Location: Crandall Rm 9 This session is intended to introduce you to ways to use your iPad as a tool to support assessment and documentation. We will examine tools such as Evernote, Skitch, and QR codes. If you come with both your iPad and your laptop, you will leave with useful templates and located resources that you can immediately use in your classroom. Page 10
