Grade 8 Semi Formal Dance
Back in 2018 we decided to take the grade 8 semi formal dance off campus and provide a more formal evening for our students . Historically , this event was held after school in the cafeteria , and although adequate , we felt our students deserved more . We were able to subsidize costs to keep this special evening affordable ; however , since the pandemic , we have seen the price of this event almost double . We are working diligently to explore various venues and menu options to keep costs budget friendly . Keeping business in Enfield ( venue , catering , DJ ) is a priority to us , but this year cost will determine our location and the vendors we utilize . This experience is a huge event for grade 8 students and has helped shape a more positive student culture – an invitation to the semi-formal dance is based upon student conduct as determined by our educators and administration ( any use of physical violence subsequently precludes those involved ). We are looking at Friday , June 7 ( usually 6 – 9 pm ) to host this special evening .
