I cut a hole, exactly half a centimetre, into one side of the brown paper bag. I place my handphone inside at an angle that lets the in-built camera to see through that the man-made looking glass.; the camera app is launched. My neck is fixed, head surveying the park for unsuspecting joggers breaking their sweat as I break mine. As one pauses to catch their breath, I look at the distance as my thumb clicks the camera icon on my phone. she continues to run; those big apples do not fall far from the tree. I see a child on a tricycle, hands tugging at the handles as they swerve in odd directions across the gravel. Their parent is there, keeping an eye out for people like me, but also looking out for their own kind. I position my brown paper bag towards this family. grab a quick snap and wipe the sweat off my palms. . . . how do you spend your Saturdays?
