Ebola

Description

Ebola, Ebola hemorrhagic fever, is a caused by a species of the ebola virus, of which there are 5. It afflicts both humans and

primates. it was first discovered in 1976 near the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Research indicates that the virus is

animal-borne.

Symptoms

can appear about an average of 8-10 days after exposure.

Can include:

1. Fever

2. Severe Headaches

3. Diarrhea and Hemorrhaging

4. Muscle pain and weakness

5. Vomiting

Causes

Spread through direct contact, by contact with:

1. Blood/ Body fluids

2. Objects contaminated with Ebola

3. Infected animals

Treatment

No definitive cure, symptoms treated as they appear through administering IV fluids, and maintaining healthy oxygen levels and blood pressure.

recovery is entirely dependent on the quality of care and the strength of the immune system.

Ebola can remain in the body even after recovery
