IHG readies for Sunshine Coast debut
IHG Hotels & Resorts ( IHG ) recently announced a new partnership with Felix Capital to open the Holiday Inn & Suites Caloundra Sunshine Coast in early 2028 . Overlooking the pristine beaches and picturesque coastal town of Caloundra , this new hotel will form part of a mixed-use development in the heart of the area .
The 160-room hotel will include 33 suites and feature all the Holiday Inn brand hallmarks , including an open lobby , an all-day dining restaurant and lobby cafe , meeting spaces and a wellequipped fitness centre . In addition , guests will enjoy magnificent views of Caloundra while enjoying lunch , dinner and drinks at the hotel ’ s signature rooftop restaurant and sky bar .
Caloundra is 90-minutes ’ drive from Brisbane and just 35-minutes from Maroochydore Airport . The Sunshine Coast is already popular with conference groups , particularly the corporate market , and the opening of this property will provide EAs with another option from a trusted brand .
