How do you find the work / life balance ? I find it easier now than I have in the past , primarily because my children are getting older and I don ’ t feel like I am in a constant struggle of missing out . Having said that , my work has always been an advocate of supporting my needs and has great resources available for all staff members .
What is the working environment like ? I work in one of the most recently refurbished offices , which was developed to be more sustainable over a period of two years . We have a range of spaces and are activity based , making the workday a little nicer as you can sit with a different view every day .
How do they show appreciation for staff ? There is a recognition hub which enables all staff to recognise other staff members and there are group wide as well as individual ways you can show your appreciation and recognise when someone does something amazing .
What about incentives , benefits and perks ? Being part of such a large company we are able to be the recipients of a lot of benefits . There is , in fact , even an section on our intranet dedicated to it ! Being a financial institution there are related benefits to being a staff member .
What ’ s your office Christmas party like ? Given the size of the company , each business unit does it differently . In compliance , each of our general managers arrange their own end-of-year function . I planned a lovely dinner with the leadership team .
What are your company ’ s top tips for senior level PAs looking to create a great culture in their organisation ? I can only speak for myself but good behaviours demonstrate and promote positive cultures . I can only suggest you get involved and promote things within your business that look to boost wellbeing . And don ’ t be afraid to suggest improvements . S
