Carrie started Dixie Mango to help fund the adoption of her daughter.
“Now that she is home, I am hoping to continue to fund other adoptions
through this shop and to encourage others. I hope these little pieces of
encouragement, do just that: encourage you or your loved ones on this
amazing journey of life.”
Q// Where did the idea for your jewelry come from?
A// So, I actually started making my jewelry because of
Lavender.
I knew that if I could just remember to reapply, I might
actually do better during the day. Diffusers usually don’t
work for day time use because as a home school mom of
4, I just can’t sit still long enough in one room, so I needed
something I could hang around my neck.
I researched diffuser necklaces, but couldn’t find just
what I wanted. I found out wood diffuses oil and that
was one thing I had plenty of on my 24 acres. The Wood
Pendant Necklace was born that very day.
