What McKeever Means to Me...
McKeever is a place where my shoes sound a certain way, a familiar way, on the slippery leaves on the trail. It’s a place where I monitor and sleep in the same, familiar South lodge year after year. But it’s also a place where I get to watch the students’ reactions to the unfamiliarity of their new surroundings – new lodge to live in each year, new spots for their activities, new perspectives on the aura of McKeever.
McKeever is a place where I learn more about my students, and they learn more about me. I couldn’t imagine my work at Falk, in the science classroom, without our work at McKeever. It’s just a place, but a very, very special place.
