Critical occupation: A skilled / semi-skilled occupation that is highly sought after (including job which industries
may be facing shortages or difficulties in hiring) and falls under a strategic sector.
Half of the surgical/medical gloves manufacturers require a qualification of at least a
Bachelor’s degree for the position as Mechanical Engineering Technicians and Electrical
Engineering Technicians. The minimum qualification for Rubber Products Machine Operators
is much lower, with 80% of the companies accepting SPM/STPM level as minimum
qualification.
