To reduce Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas emissions, resource use and costs
associated with water use and wastewater production.
Targets
• Improve water efficiency consumption (m3) per student.

• Develop and implement a water efficiency strategy.
Raise awareness of water efficiency of students living in halls of
residence
To reduce Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas emissions, resource use, waste
production and whole-life costs associated with the University supply
chain.
Communicate to Keele campus users about the sustainability
implications of purchasing decisions.

• Specify maximum flow rate for water taps within University
buildings
• Increase sub metering of water

of the flexible framework
• Increase Fairtrade sales by 2% annually

• Maintain the University’s Faritrade status
• Implement Soil association “Food For Life” bronze award for one
of our catering outlets
