Environmental Management Improvement Programme 2015/16
Keele aims to be an environmentally sustainable university in all
that we do. This involves managing the University’s environmental
impacts and monitoring our year-on-year progress. As well as
reducing our negative impacts our University can also have a
positive effect on the environment and society through our
research, through our teaching, through our spending power, and
through creating a sustainable environment in which our staff and
students can live, work and study.
This programme specifically covers the University’s environmental
impacts relating to internal operations. Our environmental
improvements will help conserve energy and water, save money,
make finite resources last longer and help reduce pollution and our
contribution to climate change.
