To increase awareness about the University’s Environmental Policy and
Sustainability ethos to all staff and students but also potential students,
University contractors, customers, and the local community.
Ensure we minimise the risk of pollution incidents.

• Implement our revised emergency spillage plan, ensuring all
relevant staff are trained
• Raise awareness of students living within Halls of Residence, and
to staff campus residents, as to the correct disposal practice of fats
and oils in kitchens

• 100% of new employees to be made aware of the Environmental
Policy during induction
• Continue with a staff environmental engagement scheme with a
target of 20 teams engaged annually

• Ensure the environment is included within the ‘Welcome to Keele’
induction
• Include Sustainability within students welcome guide
