“Seize the Day”
The first single from the Karyn White album
“Carpe Diem”.
In October of 2012 one of R&B’s legendary
and most distinctive voices returned back
on the music scene releasing her album
titled “Carpe Diem (Seize the Day). White’s
absence was to focus on family and raising
her daughter Ashley. White, an accomplished
singer/songwriter made her mark with her
smash hit song and female anthem titled
“Superwoman”. “Superwoman” was
certified gold and in 1989 the song was
named Billboard’s song of the year. In the
same year she earned the NAACP Image
Award for ‘Best New Artist’. White was
also nominated twice for Grammy Awards
(Best Female R&B Vocal Performance), and
earned nominations for Soul Train Awards.
Other hits include “The Way You Love Me”,
“Secret Rendezvous” and “Love Saw It”, a
duet with Kenny Babyface Edmonds. Currently Karyn White is working on new music
and an upcoming film project Moxie the web
series.
