3. What do you believe young women gain from pageantry and ultimately pageantology? We hope women who enter pageants not only gain knowledge into self grooming and styling but also learn how to conduct themselves in an interview, how to eat for your best body and networking skills they can use all throughout life. At Pageantology, we give our girls the tools needed for success in pageantry (already having two national titleholders, Miss Teen USA 2013 and Miss Teen USA 2014) and more importantly, tips for success in life! We don't just train girls to win at their pageant but to win in life! We have even had mother's sit in on workshops and tell us after about how much they gained from the session, especially when we give instructions on Properly Combining our foods for optimal weight loss and glowing, beautiful skin! We give girls detailed instruction on how to stop the insane dieting and eat whatever they want (following our guidance on Proper Combining) to finally lose the weight they wanted to but without denying themselves their favorite foods.
4. What is ONE secret Pageantology believes is a requirement to win a pageant? Identifying your own unique 'brand.' We work with each girl to help her recognize what sets her apart from the other girls and what qualities she possesses that the judges should know. It helps the young woman feel confident in the interview room and gives her the ability to control the questions they ask.
5. Do you feel the a young woman should compete to WIN or compete for Personal Growth and Experience? BOTH! Let's be honest, girls pay all that money to enter (registration fees, gowns, hair extentions, tanning... you name it!) because they want that crown on their head! And we don't blame them!! But they really should ask themselves 'why?' Why do they want that crown so badly? Is it because they want all the opportunity that comes along with the title? Are they looking for all the priceless connections and relationships made throughout their reign that will hopefully prove invaluable to their career goals? Whatever that answer is, they really need to define it within themselves. Once they know 'why' they are competing, the personal growth and experience are a given. Any time we step out of our little safe 'box of comfort' and into the unknown, there is opportunity for growth. And if we were to share all the beautiful stories of personal and professional growth than came from pageants, we would need a whole lot more time!
