Hopefully this example will illustrate how interesting and fun it can be to re-harmonize simple songs using substitute chords . And , for the purposes of harmonizing ( assuming someone is singing or playing the melody ), any of the notes making up the substitute chords will work for sustained or tremolo harmony notes .
From the basics introduced herein your music can be developed to be more interesting to both you and your listeners . The combinations and possibilities are endless … but they all begin with do-re-mi . Have fun !
