13 REASONS WHY
Composed predominantly of
newcomers, the cast lends great
truth to the dramas of its characters
- although, following the Hollywood
constant, some of the actors are
evidently too old for their roles. With
emotional outbursts that can leave
the nerves to the skin, Minnete and
Langford are the ones who steal the
scene. In addition, it's exciting to
see Kate's (Gray's Anatomy)
genuinely express the pain and
outrage of a mother who lost her
daughter so tragically when she
was not even aware of the problem. In addition to correcting serious slips of
structuring and continuity of literary narrative, showrunners Brian Yorke and Diana
Son denounce the lack of attention and inefficiency with which the problem is
addressed. However, over the course of 13 episodes, the series flounders by
inconsistencies in rhythm between one chapter and another, something that
coupled with the approach to disturbing themes may not inspire the Netflix public's
habit of marathoning the series. With intentions that go beyond entertainment, 13
Reasons Why is shocking and scary, but authentic and necessary. Make sure that
when a dead girl decides to tell a story, you should stop to listen to her.
