ANISA FOWLER
Gospel powerhouse Anisa Fowler is definitely one to watch . Born and raised in Trinidad , Anisa ’ s earliest memory of music is singing in her church ’ s youth choir . She moved to Queens , New York , when she was just seven , and although it was a culture shock , the one thing that remained the same was her family ’ s devotion to the word of Christ . As she grew older , she realized that her love for singing could turn into something more , which led her to enroll in the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts . While there , her passion for music grew , which inspired her to study more styles of music , including jazz . After high school , she performed with the group “ God ’ s Plan ”, but after they disbanded , she began to embark on her solo career . Most would think that , during a pandemic , an artist would panic and suffer from the lack of opportunities to perform , but not Anisa . She teamed up with fellow God ’ s Plan member , Joshua Arnoux , a longtime friend from high school , and they began to create magic . Together , they released Anisa ’ s latest single , “ You Reign ”, under Joshua ’ s new label , RNU Records . The gospel world has been buzzing about Anisa every since . But the song , available on all streaming platforms , is just a taste of what ’ s to come from Anisa ’ s highly anticipated EP , set to drop later this year .
