On July 31 , 2021 , The Fibroid Fighters Foundation hosted an awareness dinner commemorating July as Fibroid Awareness Month . It is a culmination of the non-profit ’ s efforts to bring legislators , activists , celebrities , and fibroid survivors together to initiate community conversations about the need for fibroid awareness , education , research , and funding . Founder and CEO of Fibroid Fighters Foundation Dr . Yan Katsnelson and his wife Flora Katsnelson , MD were part of the evening as well and Coach Ella Destiny , Kym Lee , Erica L . Taylor , and were in attendance to share their story and support for this event .
