Hosting a Live ENLS Course
Does NCS have a system for collecting individual registrations and payment for my course participants ?
No . The Host Organizer is responsible for gathering individual registration information and payment from participants . The total amount due for all participants must be remitted to NCS prior to the course date . See page 39 for a sample registration form .
How do I set my registration fee ?
The Host Organizer is permitted to set registration fees at their discretion . Organizers are allowed to set fees above the amount owed to NCS in order to offset costs associated with hosting the course ( space , food , A / V , speaker honorariums , etc .).
How is payment remitted and when is it due ?
Payment must be paid in full within the following time frame :
• Payment by credit card must be received one week prior to the course .
• Payment by check must be received two weeks prior to the course .
• Payment by wire transfer must be received two weeks prior to the course .
The Host Organizer may accept participant registrations past the payment due date . If the number of participants exceeds the initial amount paid , NCS will issue a second invoice to cover the cost of additional participants . The second invoice must be paid in full no later than 30 days after the date on the invoice .
How do I determine the timeline and agenda for my course ?
The ENLS live course is typically held over an eight hour timeframe , but can be adapted to suit your needs . The 14 modules can be presented in 20-40 minute increments with breaks and lunch time added as needed . A sample course agenda is provided on page 35 . Organizers who have less time available have the option to reduce the timeframe . The course can also be extended to two days in order to offer longer , more concentrated lectures . Time may be added to the end of any live course to allow participants to take the online exams , however , this is not required . Most organizers instruct participants to take the exams online at their own pace after the live course has concluded .
