Northern Oklahoma College Planetarium & Observatory is open to the public on the first Wednesday of the month during the academic year from September through April . The planetarium show begins at 7 PM . On clear nights following the planetarium show the observatory will be open to the general public . The Mackie planetarium is one of the largest in Oklahoma and seats 115 . The observatory houses a 14-inch telescope with attachments for cell phone cameras . Groups may schedule planetarium shows by calling the astronomy center . Railroad Museum of Oklahoma features one of the largest collections of railroad material in the United States . The museum features a large collection of authentic train cars , a Frisco 1519 Steam Engine along with nine authentic cabooses . Exhibits include over 1,000 pieces of dining car china and silver service from passenger trains of the past , maps , paintings , depot clocks , steam engine bells , locks , keys , a functioning telegraph system and more . While there is no set admission fee , a $ 5 minimum donation is suggested as the museum is a nonprofit venture that exists solely on donations from other railroad enthusiasts . • 702 N .
