City Working to Improve Arkansas Lane Near Lake Arlington with
Street Maintenance Sales Tax Funds
Does your commute take you down Arkansas Lane near
Lake Arlington? Crews worked through October on repairs
to make your drive smoother and extend the useful life of
this roadway.
The work to replace failed sections of concrete panels
between Green Oaks Boulevard and Bay Lakes Court is one
of the five street maintenance programs funded by the
voter approved Street Maintenance Sales Tax.

The panel replacement program specifically targets major
thoroughfares and collector streets. Since October of 2018,
more than 51,000 square yards of panels have been replaced throughout the City. Recently completed locations
include:
• Eastbound and westbound Mayfield Road between Cooper and Collins Streets
• Eastbound Sublett Road from Coping Lane to Aires Drive
• Westbound Sublett Road from Ivy Glen Drive to Tennessee Trail
• Northbound and southbound New York Avenue from IH20 to Mayfield Road
• Tads Lane between Beach Lane and Creek Bank Drive
• Eastbound Pleasant Ridge Road between Green Oaks Boulevard and Oldfield Drive
• 4800 block of northbound South Collins Street
In addition to the work on Arkansas Lane, crews are also working to replace concrete panels on east and
westbound Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard between Yaupon Drive and South Collins Street.
I-30/SH 360 Project Update
The Texas Department of Transportation began construction on
the $233 million Interstate 30/State Highway 360 Interchange
project in Spring 2016. The improvements to the area will increase
safety, connectivity, and mobility for motorists. This project has an
anticipated completion date of 2021.
Recent progress includes opening the westbound collector-
distributor road under Ballpark Way and the new exit ramp to
southbound Ballpark Way.
Progress expected in the next 12 months:
• Open south-west and east-west direct connectors.
• Open completed SH 360 SB frontage road from Brown Blvd. to
Road to Six Flags.
• Complete reconstruction of Ave. G.
• Complete reconstruction of Wet-n-Wild Way.
• Complete new SH 360 SB mainlaine bridges.
• Open new SH 360 SB exit to Ave. J/Lamar Blvd./Six Flags Dr.
