FYI : There are different forms of tea tree oil you can purchase . Although “ pure tea tree oil ” is the strongest form , it might not be the best option to grab off the shelf . Pure tea tree oil is known to be a bit harsher on the skin , due to its higher concentration .
Depending on your reasoning for using the tea tree oil , there are varying percentages of concentration to use . For example , if using TTO for acne or skin irritants , 15 % is a good bet . For fungal infections , 70 % is best . Make sure to pay attention to labels when purchasing .
