If you sat down at the bar and started to drink a beer with Michael “ Stigz ” Stiglitz in 2006 and asked him “ Where do you see yourself in 10 years ?” he might have told you his plan for Two Stones Pub or he may have smiled and gone back to drinking his wonderful craft brew .
Michael Stiglitz and business partner , Ben “ Gumbo ” Muse had worked together at the Pickled Pig Pub in Rehoboth , DE . The original plan for Two Stones was only Newark and one other store . After Wilmington opened , they decided to move into the Pennsylvania market by opening Two Stones in Kennett Square . After making their mark on the PA market , they still wanted another store in Delaware . It had always seemed that Hockessin would be the perfect fit for Two Stones . Well , what started out as a dream , ended up being a three year waiting game . As Stigz stated , “ It was a long road with a couple of bumps !”
During that three year stint , Stigz , Gumbo , and Master Brewer Bob Barrar , opened 2SP Brewery located in Aston , PA . It took a lot of money and a lot of time , but it was one of the most logical and fun steps the trio has made in the Two Stones legacy . They created a 20,000 square foot facility with a 20-Barrel brewhouse and 200 barrels of cellaring space . When you walk into the brewery , you are welcomed with a long bar and rows of taps hooked up to some of the finest local beer . Personally , I would put these beers up against any craft brew with my favorites being the Delco Lager , Biscuit Butter , and the Russian Imperial .
Now with 4 locations ( with a 5th one in Jennersville , PA on the way ) and the brewery , Two Stones Pub has created an odd shaped pentagon around the surrounding area with Hockessin as the heart . Two Stones Pub – Hockessin is your go-to restaurant for great food , wonderful beers , and a warm and welcoming staff . Whether you are going for a “ cheat ” meal or to hang out with friend , Two Stones will not disappoint . The deck just opened up and it ’ s possible it will stay open year-round .
So , what does a HAC member eat and drink at Two Stones Pub- Hockessin ? Try The HAC Healthy Choices ! With the help of Stigz , we have put together some choices that will take some of the guilt out of eating at the pub and cheating on your diet ! One thing Stigz wanted to let everyone know : Feel free to change anything on the menu . If you want a different protein with a certain meal , ask for it ! If you want to change the veggies , no salt , no butter , whatever it is , ask for it , and they will do their best to deliver .

• Pretzels- They are a low fat brand , and carbs are energy !
• Queso Blanco , no salt and get the Buffalo sauce instead of the cheese sauce .
• Hummus
Soup and Salad :
• Thai Sweet Potato Bisque ( Made with Coconut Milk )
• Budda ’ s Delight without wontons ( You can pair it with ASAP from 2SP Brewery !)
Lunch and Dinner :
• Fish Tacos with Grilled Fish – pair with Bellcracker from 2SP
• Blackened Salmon with double veggies – pair with Weiss Wit from 2SP
• White Bean Quinoa Cakes with or without protein – pair with Weiss Wit
• Veggie white bean & Quinoa wrap
• Blackened Chicken Salad

We hope to soon be able to feature Delco Lager , ASAP , and other 2SP beers at the Waterside Grill and in cans at the HAC Café ! With great fanfare , let ’ s raise our protein shakers to welcome Two Stones Pub to the Hockessin Community ! Cheers !
