Woman in literature: a shadow
How amazing novels were neglected for have been written by
female hands
Through the centuries most of the novels written by woman were restricted to use a male pseudonym. This fact
hided that the female essence has unexpected aspects that were not considered to be appropriate in that time.
One of the best examples of it is the novel Frankenstein, which was written by Mary Shelley. Her husband
published the novel as if it was written by him because when she wanted to publish her novel the editors
ridicularized and underestimate her. After the whole novel’s rebound and approval, her husband admitted that his
wife was the writer and lead the whole public to shocked.
