“It was the scariest thing I have ever seen,” said one of the eye witnesses, “It all happened so quickly. I thought they were police officers until they began shooting. Without looking back they quickly drove away in a police car.”

Officers believe that the shooters obtained the car and uniforms through payoffs. Immediately, Al Capone was one of the prime suspects in the orchestrating of the murders. Capone has recently been trying to gain complete control over Chicago by ruthlessly eliminating rival gangs. It is also widely known that Capone and Moran have been long time enemies. As gang violence in Chicago has been continually increasing, it was only a matter of time before a devastating event like this took place. Although many have linked the murders to Capone, he claims that he was in his home in Florida at the time.

Given Capone’s power and influence in Chicago, it is likely that he will not be charged or brought to trial for the murders even if he is guilty of them.
