Have you ever wonder that Cebu might actually have a great history to tell? Our place is developing in so many ways that we tend to forget the places that have been known due to its history. One to be the places here in Cebu, is Fort San Pedro located in A. Pigafetta Street, Cebu City, 6000 near Plaza Independencia. Well, moving to my experience when I went there. I have observed a lot of things as I was walking to this well reserved place.
Fort San Pedro was a place for military defense which there I saw the cannon which was never been removed to its place. It too contains necessary buildings, the largest of these building was the CUEPERO DE GUARDIA where the personnel that manned to live the fort adjacent to it was the living quarters of the lieutenant of the fort. But with all the defense look of the place, this was also enhance by the care takers like planting different types of flowers and plants and this has given a lively color to the place that it seems like it was a paradise. With all the things I’ve mention, there was a feeling of like I was time travelling back where I could flashback people or shall I say heroes who fought back for our independence.
So basically the Fort San Pedro was one the greatest experience that I would surely treasure throughout my life, that it was somehow one of my bucket list achieved. History will never change and it made us who we are today and I am a proud Cebuana for that fact.
