3.In facing your students, what do you usually feel?

“I am feeling BLESSED and happy. I always feel blessed being with the young. I feel I am looking young like them, too.” 

There is always fun and contentment in teaching, in guidance and counseling. There is joy in reaching-out others.

4.As a guidance counselor, what for you is the essence of teaching?

Teaching last forever, learning never ends.

“Teaching in my point of view as a Guidance Counselor is a lifetime profession and life-long vocation of helping individuals to love more of their courses, to learn more and achieve more.”

Teaching is also facilitating the students to develop coping mechanisms for life-adjustments, guiding them develop skills and capabilities, learning strategies to face the challenges of life. It is also creating a classroom atmosphere of trust, openness and responsibility with fun-filled-learning and friendship.

5.As a guidance Counselor, how do you deal with students who have problems?

Dealing with empathetic understanding, love and compassion.

“I always consider my students who have problems as normal beings as always who happened to meet challenges, influences and trials in life.I lookat them with full of gifts, talents, potentials and capabilities which they can use to make correct interpretation of facts and sound judgment. I invite them for aGuidance and Counseling services at the center for them to come-up with the right decision and solution of problems. Follow-up services are also given to students as the need arises.

6.What are your contributions in our school?

Sharing of 3Ts

As a Teacher and as a Guidance Counselor, I can best contribute my love of the work, dedication and commitment to my profession. In my little ways, I am sharing my talents, time and treasures back to the giver, God through the Josenian community and thru the community outreach programs of our school.

7.Based on the students’ feedback, we learned that you have great Personality with “Beauty & Brain”. Any comment?

“That’s a flattering feedback…  I just heard it today, heheh!”

Well, I am grateful. Personality with beauty and brain… of course, those are God’s gift to everyone, to you and me – a unique personality. I also had my share of beauty and body competition and fortunately I won as first but not as champion… I am thankful to God for the many gifts and blessings that He showered into my life.

Thank you for making me part of your subject magazine. Thank you for the invitation and the opportunity to share some parts of my life to you. I salute the teacher of this subject, a dedicated teacher who happened to be my best mentor, in High School English – Speech subject, Ms. Mildred Viovicente. She was then one of my inspirations to pursue a teaching profession. 

To you my dear students, I wish you will keep on developing a wholesome personality as you enjoy your college life here in our prestigious USJ-R College of Education, where, “Only the best is good enough for San Jose.” Adelante!

Understanding, approachable, smart, and beautiful, that's the way students described her. She gives a lot of paper works that would let the students realize at the end of the day its numerous benefits. Pass all the requirements, and you'll receive good grades from her. She is kind and analyzes each of the students' problems and give useful advice. She really explains the lessons very well, gives her best in every discussion of the lessons and trains the students to become responsible individuals of the society. She also reminds each student of her class to go to the library and read books to gain more information that would help in being a successful college student.
