FRANCOPHONIE - French Playgroup
This year our school introduced a new
extracurricular activity for second
graders „FRENCH PLAYGROUP“. The
playgroup is conducted by our English
teacher Ms Gabriela Pavičić who also
holds a university degree in French
language and literature.

The group meets once a week (every Thursday at 12:20) where students get acquainted
with the French language and culture through various games, songs, rhymes.
In one of our first sessions students learned that they already know a lot of French
words. These are the words which came into the Croatian language from French (such as
„camion“, „avion“, „balcon“, „champignon“, „bonbon“, „rouge“, „bistro“, „metro“, „volant“,
„pardon“, „paysage“...) only the pronunciation is just a little bit different. The students
