No 13, Year 13, May 2016 Page 33 8. Try some new food. London is full of various restaurants and culinary influences from all over the world. It reflects in the variety of food offer as well. For example, I really liked falafel and salad at Pret a Manger, latte at Costa and a custard filled donut on Camden market. 9. Try some real English chips. They are prepared in a special way and they are very different from French fries that we usually have. 10. Find time to visit the great British Library. At the time when I was I London, there was a Magna Carta Libertatum exhibiton. But there are many wonderful books and exhibits to see for free as well. However, once you are inside, you cannot take pictures there. Instead, search for some on their website www.bl.uk or other sites. 11. Go to Paris! No, I haven't gone crazy, I really mean it. Paris is in fact only two and a half hours away from London, now that there is a Eurostar tunnel under La Manche channel. And it's such an exciting ride, just knowing that at times, you are 40 meters under the surface of the sea. And the things you can see in Paris? Well, more on that in some other article. My suggestion is that you plan ahead as many details as you can and buy your tickets online months before your actual travel, because for example, the price for train ticket from London to Paris doubles as the date of the journey approaches. 12. Visit markets in London. They are the most incredible and the most colorful places to see. It's a place where as in all of London, so many cultures meet, so there is a huge variety of food on offer and people from all around the world gather there. You can also find original handicrafts to bring home as unique souvenirs. text: Blaženka Barišić Radoš photos: Petra Božiković, Blaženka Barišić Radoš 13. Do the tour around London.
