Multicultural Literature
This course focuses on world literature by and about people of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Students explore themes of linguistic and cultural diversity by comparing, contrasting, analyzing, and critiquing writing styles and universal themes. Usage of proper grammar, mechanics and, and research skills and activities are implemented as well as the do's and dont's of the writing process. This class emphasizes on extending critical thinking, and knowing and understanding real world situations in the diverse world we live in.
Pre-requisites: One to three units of English credit
