ONE partnered with Zerr Berg Architects to develop the design for the 4 Bears Casino & Events Center remodel and addition. The event center, which can now accommodate 4,000 people, will be able to facilitate larger entertainment productions including rodeos, pow-wows, motorsports and theatrical events. ONE was responsible for the mechanical and electrical engineering on this project including fire protection, lighting design and life safety systems. The old event center space was renovated into one large ballroom with removable walls so it can be split into two or three spaces. For an added touch of elegance, ONE’s electrical team designed for removable hoists in order to bring in temporary chandeliers for special occasions. Additional space includes a large arena with a predetermined stage location at one end and can be converted to a 3,000 seat basketball arena. ONE Production Principal and Director of Electrical Engineering, Andy Bartsch, said “It has all the sound and audio-video (AV) components that newer conference centers in large cities have. It has all the electrical showpower connection points for road shows to make quick and easy connections to the electrical system; we put in a life-safety generator; there are two large video boards on either side of the stage and there’s LED ribbon signage above the suites - it’s very cool.”
