WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TECHNICAL TALENT PROGRAM AND TETRA PAK? Some of my older peers are in the program and they told me of their impressions of the Technical Talent Program and all the benefits that come with it. To have a personal mentor feels very luxurious; a guide in a new environment! Being placed in the midst of and working with experienced engineers has given me a completely new perspective of my studies. Also, the possibility of working part-time during the school semester is a great possibility!
IN WHAT WAY HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO USE YOUR THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE IN YOUR WORK? My main tasks have been programming oriented, a skill I have had the opportunity of developing enormously. Even though I’ ve focused on software-development, the knowledge I acquired from courses such as Computer Communication, Computer Organization and of course Automation Control have helped me a great deal to understand how the project functions as a whole.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST? The most fun about the project that I have been a part of has been to see the way in which the work is planned and structured. In our team we work with Scrum, a modern and iterative form of planning that leaves room for quick and sudden priority changes. Also, it has been great to finally apply my theoretical knowledge to tasks that actually contribute to the project and help my colleagues.
WHAT IS YOUR TIP FOR SUCCESS? Be sure to show your interest at the workplace, grasp the opportunity and ask a lot of questions, not only concerning your tasks but about other areas of Tetra Pak and how they function etc!
