The RAF is a technically focussed organisation and the Engineer Profession ensures the required availability of safe mission-capable equipment, systems and aircraft; defining optimum reliability and supports requirements.
As an Engineering Officer( AeroSystems), you will lead, deliver and assure Whole Force engineering activities; providing commanders with timely relatable, risk-based technical advice to inform operational decisions.
You will be given world class training, equipping you with the skills to lead and manage large teams of professional, operationally focused, deployable engineers who efficiently deliver technical skills, advice and innovation in the maintenance, modification, fabrication, specification, and certification of Air and Space domain capabilities.
You will work in one of our three Engineer Profession disciplines; the Develop Engineering Capability, the Deliver Engineering capability and the Sustain Engineering Capability.
The roles of an Engineering Officer( AeroSystems) are diverse, with responsibility for our aircraft and weapons, including avionics and propulsion systems, airborne communications and ground support equipment, ensuring they are available at all times, combined closely with assuring their airworthiness and integrity.
