The Meet Cute and Engagement: Monika and Cameron met on Hinge during the pandemic. Their first date was simple: drinks outdoors that quickly turned into something more. Fast forward to Europe, where Cameron proposed in Ravello, Italy, at the Giardini Principessa district Piemonte. The next morning, he surprised Monika with an early photoshoot around the village before they spent the rest of the day celebrating at Arienzo Beach Club in Positano.
The Venue and Theme: After experiencing the incredible food and impeccable dinner service, the couple decided Gracie’ s was the perfect spot to host their reception. They chose Buttonwoods Chapel for their ceremony because of its charming architecture and cozy aesthetics. Together, the venues mirrored their romantic minimalistic vision. Their color palette was inspired by a timeless, uncomplicated beauty with a focus on creating an atmosphere that feels refined and effortless.
The Flowers: To symbolize their lasting love, the couple opted for simple yet beautiful rose arrangements for the reception. The bridesmaids carried blue hydrangeas, a classic New England bloom, while Monika’ s bridal bouquet featured an all-white mix. With the help of her family, she created most of the flower designs, except for her bouquet.“ It was a lot of fun and a great outlet of creativity for me,” says Monika.
The Personal Touches: After the ceremony, the newlyweds drove off in Cameron’ s grandmother’ s yellow Thunderbird, complete with a“ Just Married” sign. It was Monika’ s idea to add a playful and memorable touch, and everyone thought it was a unique inclusion. To honor Monika’ s Lithuanian heritage, her mother gave a heartfelt speech and presented the couple with bread, salt and moonshine.“ Bread represents wealth, generosity and the joys of life; salt signifies challenges; and water or moonshine symbolizes purity, life and celebration,” says the couple.

The Highlights: The evening before the wedding, Monika and Cameron read their vows in private, taking hours to get through the pages. Their first look was a significant moment and an emotional rush as if they’ d seen each other for the first time. The cheers and applauses from strangers while driving the streets of Providence, and the inside jokes during the ceremony officated by their dear friend added to their contagious joy. But among many things, the long awaited“ I do” on the altar will forever be a favorite memory.
The Advice:“ Try to be as present as you can,” says Monika.“ Find time for your‘ hellos’ but prioritize time together in the middle of the happenings.”
