The Meet Cute and Engagement: Courtney and Evan go back to their high school days but reconnected after college. A few years later, Evan proposed during what Courtney thought was their regular Boston getaway. Instead of heading to brunch, Evan detoured through Boston Common and to Courtney’ s surprise, got down on one knee. Afterwards, the couple went to Courtney’ s parents’ house, where their closest friends and family waited to celebrate the big news.“ It was thoughtful, romantic and so us,” says Courtney.
The Venue: From the moment they started planning their wedding, Courtney and Evan knew they wanted something outdoors, by the water and close enough to revisit. After touring a few places, they stumbled across Mount Hope Farm.“ We’ d never been here before, but the winding dirt road, breathtaking views and cozy cabin by the water instantly won us over,” shares Courtney. It turned out to be the perfect place since the venue was beautifully customizable, allowing them to make the day entirely their own.
The Theme: The couple envisioned a classic garden party celebration filled with elegance and joy without feeling overly trendy. They opted for a first look before the ceremony since they couldn’ t wait to spend the day together. The historic buildings of the Bristol Harbor Inn made for a stunning backdrop, and the photographers made sure to capture everything flawlessly, including the dockside photos with the water glistening behind them. The color palette evolved over time. They worked closely with their florist to capture a range of soft, vibrant tones that brought their fairy garden vision to life. The florals were made to look as if they were grown right there on the property. As for the dress, adorned with delicate floral designs, Courtney knew this classic, romantic fabric was meant to be.

The Seating: The handmade seating chart and the welcome sign meant a great deal to Courtney and Evan. Playing into the garden theme, the sign read“ Pick Your Seat,” a playful nod to flower picking. Courtney’ s father built the wooden structures, including the flower boxes where each guest’ s name was nestled among the flowers.
The Highlights: For the couple, it’ s difficult to choose one favorite moment among many. But they will never forget dancing the night away with their friends and family while the band played their favorite songs. Thanks to the desserts passed around, no one had to leave the dance floor.“ The entire day truly felt like a fairytale,” says Courtney.
