Engaged 2026 | Page 102

The Meet Cute: Brian is from Connecticut; Andrew is from Massachusetts. Tinder matched them in August 2017. After weeks of talking and getting to know each other, they decided to meet in person that September. The first meeting sparked something special and thus began a beautiful journey.
The Engagement: It was a warm August day in Castle Island, South Boston. The plan was to walk their beloved dog, Nala, and grab burgers and fries from the famous Sullivan’ s. But the summer heat had other plans, cutting their walk short. Andrew led the way back with Nala by his side while Brian lingered behind, making sure their good friend Dom was in place to capture the proposal. Once everything was ready, Brian got down on one knee and shared a heartfelt speech about how much he loved the little family they were building with Nala and Frankie( their cat). He asked if they could spend the rest of their lives together, and Andrew’ s immediate yes was filled with joy. The couple then headed home, where their closest friends and family awaited with excitement to celebrate.
The Venue: After a delicious dinner at GlenPharmer, the couple secured their dream venue. With space for up to 150 guests and a private bar, it perfectly matched the speakeasy-meets-distillery vibe they envisioned. The couple chose a color palette of black, white and deep emerald green to highlight the venue’ s timeless, classic aesthetic rather than overshadow it.
An Untraditional Wedding: Ditching traditions and formalities, Brian and Andrew saw each other the whole day leading up to the ceremony. Instead of a first look, they shared a private moment to read their vows to one another. Their wedding party included a mix of genders, and their dear friend Shauna officiated the ceremony. In perhaps the most symbolic choice, the grooms walked down the aisle together, side by side.
The Highlights: Guests were invited to scan a QR code to upload photos from the wedding directly from their phones, giving the couple an instant gallery of special memories. The night was filled with dancing, sore feet and a joy that lingered until the last song.

The Advice:“ Book time for just the two of you on the day of, even ten to fifteen minutes after the ceremony, to breathe, take it in and be together before the whirlwind,” the couple advises.“ Also try to delegate! Give a friend or coordinator the role of handling small problems so you don’ t get pulled in. Don’ t try to do everything! Have a good mindset— something will go‘ wrong.’ Accept it, laugh at it and know it won’ t ruin the day.”
