The Meet Cute : In November 2012 , Eddy and Stacy crossed paths at the now-closed Paragon Viva in Providence . After talking and downing some drinks , the two continued the conversation in the car , where they talked for hours .
The Engagement : Eddy came up with a few ways he wanted to propose to Stacy during their trip to Iceland in October 2018 . He was going to have an elaborate prank / proposal involving TSA pulling him aside and alarming Stacy — “ That ’ s where I would propose to kick off the trip engaged , but that idea got knocked down ,” Eddy says . A few days into the trip , he figured that Diamond Beach in Iceland was the perfect location . Their friend Rui joined them for the trip and was ( unbeknownst to Stacy ) the designated photographer for the special moment . “ We found a spot on the beach , posed for a picture and that ’ s when I dropped down on one knee and said some romantic words ,” says Eddy . “ Words I don ’ t remember because I blacked out from excitement !” Stacy adds .
The First Look : Before the first look , Stacy had been anxious about a number of things : traffic on the way to the venue , getting there on time , etc . Finally , in the Beatrix Farrand Walled Garden at Shepherd ' s Run , the bride took a deep breath at the gates and the Move Mountains Co . team guided her through the moment . “ It was crazy to finally be at that moment after having postponed the wedding several times because of the pandemic , and I couldn ’ t believe we were finally there ,” says Stacy . “ A lot of my emotions came out during the first look so it wasn ’ t all built up during the ceremony .”
The Venue : Eddy and Stacy were one of the first couples to host their wedding at Shepherd ’ s Run . Around the time they said “ Yes ” to their second venue ( the pandemic canceled their first venue plans ), the grounds were still in the construction phase . They trusted the design plans , and they couldn ’ t have been happier with the result . “ Susan Denice , the general manager , showed us the blueprints and renderings of the vision ,” says Eddy . “ We had to put a lot of trust into their crew and what they were focusing on building .” Once the beautiful night was complete , the two agreed that the venue “ ended up representing us more as a couple than our original venue ,” says Stacy , describing the rustic and elegant simplicity of the site .

The Highlights : Having the property to themselves for the night was an added bonus for the couple . “ After the wedding , it felt like it didn ’ t end ,” says Eddy . “ The reception was done , but we had a beautiful suite to ourselves , everybody that was close to us was there . Also the staff was great , Jackie the coordinator was super helpful and Susan was lovely .”
The Advice : “ The buildup is stressful because you have so many things on your list you ’ re trying to take care of , but that buildup is important because all the work you ’ re putting in is going to turn out to be a magical night ,” says Eddy . “ Make sure you have that special moment with one another ; it makes the night even more complete .”
