THE LOOK
VEILS
“ Decide if you ’ re wearing a veil ( bring it to your trial if possible ). Placement of your veil will also help you consider how to style your hair . Your stylist can show you , or your maid / matron / man of honor can show you the best way to remove it for the reception and still keep your style intact .”

TIMELESS LOOKS
“ For your wedding day , I wouldn ' t recommend anything too dark or too light .
It ' s important to remember that bridal makeup should be a little heavier than your everyday makeup look . You want enough makeup so that it shows in your photos . For example , you might want to add more blush than usual and even wear some lashes for some extra length . Neutral eyeshadow tones with a pop of shimmer are my favorite and have been the most requested look lately . It looks elegant and timeless .”

MAKEUP INSPO
“ Finding inspiration for your makeup look should not be overwhelming . Get inspiration looks directly from your makeup artists ’ website or Instagram . If you still can ' t find anything that catches your eye , try scrolling through Pinterest . Find at least three good pictures and write down what you love and don ' t like about these looks and let your artist know . Remember , these are inspiration looks and you should never expect to look exactly like the person in the picture . Your makeup artist should be able to recreate a similar look just for you based on the pictures you show !”
‘ BARELY THERE ’ MAKEUP
“ For bridal makeup , there ' s a noticeable shift toward a more natural look . Earthtone hues such as cream , terracotta , taupe and sienna dominate , while touches of slate and deep blacks enhance eyeliner looks . Neutral eyeshadows and natural lips create a soft , balanced look . Using skincare-rich products results in a glowing , glass-like complexion with light coverage ; add cream blush and a touch of highlighter for facial sculpting .”

FRESH-FACED
“ For optimal pre-wedding skincare , aim for a series of four to six facials every three to four weeks , culminating in the final session just a week before the big day . This routine allows ample time for skin rejuvenation , addressing sun damage , fine lines , dryness and more .”

“ A hair trial is EVERYTHING !
You always want to have a trial run
with your wedding stylist . When
deciding on your hairstyle , you
want to consider your face shape
as well as the style of your dress
( strapless , one-shoulder , straps …).
This can determine if your hair will
look better up , down , half-up , etc .”

HAIR APPARENT
“ The day of your wedding , make sure to wear a button-down top or something that doesn ’ t need to go over your head once styling has been completed . You will also want to arrive with “ day-two ” hair , aka slightly dirty hair ( unless you have extraordinarily oily hair , you ’ ll want to refrain from washing the morning of ). Freshly washed hair can be too soft and will end up deflating / releasing your curls as the day goes on , and nobody wants that !”
