Thanks to its extensive renovations , your guests can experience rehearsal and engagement dinners , special occasions and more with a panoramic view of the water in the upstairs Anchor Room .
The Coast Guard House is just a stone ’ s throw away from Aquidneck Island as guests can see the outline of the Claiborne Pell Newport Bridge , both day and night from any of the dining spaces . Even better , you ’ re steps away from Narragansett Town Beach , The Dunes Club and The Towers .
When you decide to host your celebration in the Anchor Room at the Coast Guard House ’ s private event space , you ’ re treating your guests to some of the finest seafood in Southern Rhode Island . The raw bar supports local oyster farmers and locally sourced North Atlantic salmon and scallops from the South Coast of Massachusetts . You ’ ll feel as though you ’ re at sea eating these fresh catches with the waves crashing below you . Wine stewards provide top tier wine service and introduce your tastebuds to new pairings from local to European , new age to vintage , with more than 500 options by the bottle .
The space has its own dedicated kitchen , allowing for undisturbed service to keep your guests satisfied . Choose from signature starters and a multitude of entrees , with vegetarian and gluten-free options available upon request .
The Anchor Room , famous for its stone formation of an anchor that was once visible to the sea wall , can host up to 100 guests for a lavish sit-down dinner , lunch or cocktail reception . The sundrenched dining room faces east and south . If you ’ re feeling more of a standing celebration , the full bar along with two encasements of wine varieties is more than enough to “ wow ” your guests . In the warmer months , open the glass sliding doors to a wraparound balcony and mingle over a cocktail or two .
Special events are hosted from October to the beginning of May , perfect for quintessential fall or spring weddings . While the view is spectacular , the food , beverages and service will keep you coming back long after the vows have been exchanged .
