The Meet Cute : We both grew up in New Bedford . Nick , a year younger than me , was on the baseball team and I was on the softball team , and I remember telling my friend that he was cute . Someone said something to him and I was waiting for him to make the move , so I made the move on social media . I didn ’ t have any intentions of dating him after high school , as I wanted to go away to college , but we dated through college and we became accidental high school sweethearts .
The Proposal : It was low key , very Nick and Sarah , just the two of us . I was working full-time and getting my master ’ s in the evening . I finished my last exam for the winter semester and I was a hot mess after it . Nick was pacing around the house but I didn ’ t think anything of it . He said , “ I know what will make you feel better . Open up an early Christmas gift .” Still a mess , I said , “ I don ’ t deserve one .” When I opened it , I thought it was an ornament , but once I started digging in the wrapping paper , he got on one knee . I kept talking and wouldn ’ t let him finish ! He said , “ Would you stop interrupting me ?” There were lots of tears and laughter . I ’ m glad we were able to share the moment together .

The Meet Cute : We worked together in 2012 at a bank , and at the time , I was in a relationship and he was single . We reconnected in 2018 around Christmas while shopping in Walmart . I remember him smiling at me and I was praying he would text me . — Siedah
I always thought she was beautiful since day one . Even back then , I wanted to be with her , but I respected the boundaries within our friendship . We stayed in touch through the years . Even in 2012 , I knew she was going to be my wife . — Derrell
The Proposal : It was on my birthday and we had a romantic dinner at the Capital Grille . When we went back home , I thought we were just singing happy birthday with our daughters . Afterwards , he got down on one knee and proposed . Our moms , our dads , our daughters , his son and my nephew were there to celebrate . — Siedah

The Meet Cute : We met at Johnson & Wales University our freshman year in a marketing class . Through a group project , we became acquaintances , but we really became friends through our summer job on the Orientation Team . When the end of August rolled around , we went on our first date . On Sep . 25 , 2016 , Michael took me out to dinner and then to Xavier Hall where we had our first class together — it was there he asked me to be his girlfriend .
The Proposal : On Nov . 13 , 2021 , Michael told me we were going out for a night with our friends . All dressed up , we went to watch the sunset at Prospect Terrace Park in Providence with our friends , one of our favorite spots . When we got there , Michael asked me to step to the side . At that moment , he started his proposal speech and I broke down in tears . He hired a photographer and gathered all our immediate family from New Jersey and New York to celebrate with us that weekend . It was absolutely perfect and I wouldn ’ t have had it any other way .
