The Meet Cute : These two are proof you can , in fact , find love online . “ We met on Match . com ,” Paul says . “ I had a friend who met her boyfriend online and wanted me to go on a double date with her . So my friend created a profile for me . Within the first hour of the profile being up , Anupriya liked a photo and we started talking .” Their first date was at a brewery , where they spent the time learning about each other ’ s cultures . “ I taught her about beer and baseball , and she taught me about the Indian way of life ,” Paul says .
The Engagement : After a few years of dating , Paul proposed during a Polish and Indian dinner , an annual tradition for the couple and their friends . “ Once a year , we combine both our cultures and invite our friends over to our place to treat them to a table full of Polish and Indian food ,” Paul says . “ All of our friends were there , eating food and sharing stories , and I popped the question .”
The Details : For centerpieces , the couple chose beer growlers to represent one of their favorite activities . “ One of our main hobbies is enjoying the great breweries around the United States ,” Paul says . “ We decided to incorporate all the breweries that we enjoyed and where we created so many friendships .”
The Traditions : A mid-wedding outfit swap allowed the couple to incorporate both of their cultures into their special day . “ The first half of our wedding we were in traditional Western wear , like a wedding dress and tux , and the second half of the wedding we were in traditional Indian wear , called a lehenga for Anupriya and a sherwani jacket for me ,” Paul explains . The wedding party and guests also changed into traditional Indian wear partway through the wedding , so everyone had a chance to celebrate the couple in style .
